As I am learning a number web technologies simultaneously, I often find myself in a position where I am learning new things that I do not have an immediate use for. Also, learning new technologies requires a lot of reading which I find boring, frankly. Although most of my experiments will likely be offline, I find posting work online to be motivational. As a starting point for using more advanced GCP services, I added functionality to my personal website application to get some simple GCP information using the Spring Cloud GCP APIs.
